Welcome to Desert Marigold School
Located on a beautiful, 10-acre campus at the foot of South Mountain, the Desert Marigold School (DMS) opened as an independent Waldorf initiative in 1994 in Phoenix, Arizona. We received our charter from the State of Arizona in 2002.
Our biodynamic garden, pond, and resident farm animals compliment our commitments to sustainability and environmental education programming. As a tuition-free K-12 program, we meet Arizona State Standards within a rich curriculum inspired by Rudolf Steiner’s pedagogical philosophy, the foundation for Waldorf education. Our newly opened high school program of study adds a new grade each year through Fall, 2012.
High school graduation credit hour verification meets college preparatory graduation requirements and prepares our graduates for a future inspired by flexibility and freedom of thought, a love for learning, self-confidence and moral commitment.
