Garden Update for November 9th

by admin on November 9, 2012

The reclamation of beds, to create home for new seedlings, is proceeding with an enormous effort from Tuesday and Saturday gatherings of no less than 6 to 8 dedicated volunteers and interns turning the soil and adding compost at tilling again.  The beds are getting planted according to the BD calendar and sprouting right and left with the next generation of vegetables. Currently, arugula and cilantro will be seen at the Friday market along with more rattlesnake beans and Swiss chard. Next week Farmer Tony will be out of town from Wednesday until Sunday to attend the NorthAmerican Biodynamic Conference in Madison WI.  Three Saturday’s from tomorrow (November 24th)  Farmer Tony will be teaching a workshop on composting,  sponsored by the Valley Permaculture Alliance, here at DMS.  Click on this link to learn more: http://www.phoenixpermaculture.org/events/compost-workshop-weeds-to-compost
