What do you need to know to own and care for a horse? Grooming, feeding, catching, exercising–we will cover all of this, along with gaining basic knowledge of the tack needed for riding and how to saddle and bridle a horse. You will have opportunities to ride through an obstacle course and possibly on South Mountain. We will also take a field trip to a horse show and to an auction where tack, horses & other livestock are bought and sold.
Things you will need: hat, gloves, water bottle and close-toed shoes.
Spaces are limited to 8
