Seed to Table
Our long-term vision is to create and sustain an organic garden and landscape that is wholly integrated into the school’s curriculum and lunch program. Using organic and biodynamic (grown according to Rudolf Steiner’s indications) farming methods.
We now sell produce on campus, although we have sold surpluses off campus as well. We are in the process of constructing our outdoor kitchen adjacent to the garden that is used for social events. In the future, a fully licensed kitchen and dining facility would make it possible for children and teachers to have meals together.
Experiences in the kitchen and garden foster a better understanding of how the natural world sustains us, and promote the environmental and social well being of our school community.
