Enrollment
Desert Marigold is a charter school inspired by Waldorf education. We strongly encourage all families interested in our school to first gain an understanding of Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy of child development and the Waldorf teaching methodology. We recommend reading the following books:

2. Waldorf Education, A Family Guide by: Pamela Johnson Fenner and Karen Rivers
If you would like to learn more about Desert Marigold School please attend one of our Parent Information Meetings & Campus Tours which are scheduled for specific Friday mornings from 8:30 until 9:30am. No appointment is necessary to participate in our Parent Information Meetings & Campus Tours,but please contact our receptionist to confirm availability. There will only be one tour a month during June, July and August. Please call the office at 602-243-6909 to confirm the day, date and time of the summer meetings and tours.
June Tour Date is 6/30/08.
July Tour Date is 7/30/08.
Each overview is open to the general public. Children are welcome to join you, however no child care is available and you will be responsible for your child(ren) during the Meeting & Tour. Children may not play unattended on the playgrounds. During the Meeting & Tour you will learn about the history of our school, tour our campus, discuss curriculum and teaching methods, review relevant policies and close with a general Q&A session. We will meet and begin each overview on the patio of the Administration Office which is the first building on your right as you enter our campus. Parking is available for all visitors at the back of our campus. For directions and a map to Desert Marigold School, please return to our home page and click on the map link provided.
Registration packets for our charter Kindergarten through 8th grade classes are only available at the close of each Parent Information Meeting & Campus Tour. If you plan to complete and submit a registration packet after the Meeting & Tour, please bring your child(ren)'s certified birth certificate and immunization information. A completed registration packet is placed in the order it is received in the appropriate grade waiting list file. When space comes available in a class you will be contacted.
Open Enrollment for the 2009/20010 school year will be held on Friday, February 13, 2009 from 9:00am until 11:00am on our school campus. You must bring a certified birth certificate, (or passport) and an updated immunization record with you to Open Enrollment. If you do not immunize we will provide you with a waiver. Please read the following pdf documents to learn more about our Open House on Saturday, February 9th and our Open Enrollment on Friday, February 15th.
